Those strange guttural sounds coming from Chewbacca’s mouth could have meant many things, but by glancing through these photographs chronicling Mako Miyamotos study of Wookies living on earth, it appears he might have been saying “After this stupid war, can we go get a cold beer and have some fun?”.
Mako Miyamoto takes his lens and his Wookie masks on the road to show us how Wookies really live. They chill out with friends, they go to karate classes, and a few of the bad ones even roll a gas station. This fun series of photographs provides us with a reason to laugh and to realize our lives would be just as absurd to a Wookie, as their lives are to us.
